Welcome to the Exchange Bureau where we are changing negative beliefs for positive.

Our goal is to replace degrading and devaluing phrases that you may use towards yourself with positive and constructive ones.

Allocate 20 minutes.

Write down all the phrases, words, and expressions that you use to berate, reprimand, demotivate, and scare yourself.

Now modify each of them into a respectful, tactful message pointing out how to solve the problem.

For example:

“You are such an idiot – forgot the keys again!” can be replaced with “You can put a sticker on your entrance door reminding yourself to take the keys”.

“Looser!” should be replaced with “There are areas where I need to change my approach. I will think about how to do it”.

“This will not work out” can be replaced with “I will try. I have the right to try.”

Now your task is to use these new modified phrases whenever your usual reprimanding ones come to mind.

At first, this will require your attention and concentration. But soon it will become your habit.
