Who is a codependent person?

It’s a person for whom it is essential to be needed and indispensable.

A person who often feels resentful because other people and their behavior fail to meet their expectations.

A person who chooses manipulation instead of an open and safe communication.

It’s a person who believes that they can change somebody: inspire, teach, reeducate, reshape. You just need to push the right buttons.

It’s a person who deep down believes that dependence is more reliable than love. And they really don’t want their partner to be able to do without their relationship.

It’s a person who indirectly or explicitly controls their loved ones (their partner, friends or relatives).

A person who shifts responsibility for their condition, behavior, and decisions to others. Their typical phrases include: “You make me feel bad” or “You’re forcing me to do this”

A person who struggles to understand their true desires and needs.

They always think that others know better.

You are not sure where to begin?

It’s a person who tries to gain power over their partner.

Either through aggression and suppression, or through servility, helplessness and pleasing.

A person who justifies and accepts the things that aren’t good for them, that hurt them.

Codependency is a personality trait that develops in childhood under the influence of family scenarios and attitudes.

Fortunately, you can work it through as an adult. Our course Codependency will benefit you a lot. You will find it in the Courses section.
